Health Risk Checks

We at Hosmed Medical Scheme understand the importance of early detection of diseases. The stressful times we live in mean that we need to be aware of our health and deal with any health concerns as and when they arise or are detected. This benefit is important enough that the Scheme will fund members for voluntary health risk assessments.

This will inevitably assist and provide employers with the capability to manage health and productivity at a corporate level, maximising the return on their most important assets - the employees. A Hosmed wellness consultant will be contacting employer groups to discuss the work force healthcare profile with the objective of introducing the wellness programme.

• A detailed medical history and assessment
• Workplace wellness days for those members who joined Hosmed as part of a company or organisation. This is dependent on the number of Hosmed members in the company.
• Health risk assessments at a ScriptNet Pharmacy for cholesterol, blood glucose levels and high blood pressure. Other tests such as HIV will be done by your doctor.
• Education on relevant topics, e.g. healthy lifestyle, and mental well-being.
